South Delhi Residence site of Apparent Suicide of Industrialist’s daughter-in-Law
New Delhi – Police are investigating the death of janhavi Kapoor, the daughter-in-law of prominent industrialist ashok Kapoor, discovered at her residence in south Delhi on november 26, 2025. Authorities responded to a call at approximately 10:30 AM, finding Kapoor deceased at the scene. Preliminary investigations suggest a suicide, though a formal inquiry is underway.
The case has drawn immediate attention due to the family’s high profile and the contents of a personal diary recovered from the residence. Entries within the diary reportedly reference themes of “love and trust,” prompting investigators to explore potential emotional distress as a contributing factor. The incident underscores the growing concern surrounding mental health challenges, even within affluent communities, and raises questions about support systems available to individuals facing personal crises. Police are currently interviewing family members and close associates to establish a timeline of events leading up to Kapoor’s death and determine the full circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
Kapoor, 32, resided with her husband and in-laws in a gated community in Vasant Kunj. No suicide note beyond the diary entries has been recovered. Forensic analysis is being conducted to confirm the cause of death. The investigation is led by Deputy Commissioner of Police Benita Mary Jaikar, with further updates expected as the inquiry progresses.
