Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade to Feature ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Stars, Balloon Throwbacks & More
New York City’s iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will return this November 28th with a lineup blending viral sensations, Broadway performances, and classic holiday traditions. Viewers can tune in live on NBC and Peacock, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in all time zones.
the 98th annual parade promises a spectacle for both in-person attendees and the millions watching at home, offering a preview of the festivities with NBC and Peacock’s “Countdown to the Macy’s Thanksgiving day Parade” special on November 26th at 8 p.m.ET. This year’s event is particularly notable as Macy’s Studios prepares for the parade’s centennial in 2026 by reintroducing beloved,historic balloon characters alongside new additions.
Among the performers will be EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI, the musical trio behind the Netflix hit KPop Demon Hunters, alongside established artists like Cynthia erivo, Darlene Love, Ciara, Colbie Caillat, Lil Jon, and Busta Rhymes. Broadway will be represented by performances from buena Vista Social Club,Just in Time,and Ragtime,and the rockettes will celebrate their 100th anniversary with a special performance.
the parade’s balloon lineup will feature 32 total characters, including returning favorites like Snoopy, SpongeBob SquarePants, the Pillsbury doughboy, and Bluey. Joining them will be newcomers Buzz Lightyear, PAC-MAN, Shrek’s onion Carriage, and Mario. Adding a nostalgic touch, historic balloon elements like Rainbow and Greybow Trouts, the Happy Hippo, and Freida the Dachshund will also make an appearance.
Santa Claus and his reindeer will once again conclude the parade, officially kicking off the holiday season.
