Peking University‘s Physical Education Department Honored as national Leader, Students Excel at National games

XI’AN, CHINA – November 22, 2025 – the Department⁢ of Physical Education and Research at Peking university has been recognized as a National Advanced Unit of Mass Sports, ⁣a ‍testament to the⁢ university’s commitment to athletic development and a healthy‍ campus habitat. This honor coincides with a strong showing by Peking University teachers and ⁢students at the 15th National Games, where they secured multiple gold and silver⁤ medals.

several Peking University faculty and students distinguished themselves at the National Games. Dai Minghui and Xie Zhiyu achieved ⁣medal success, ⁤while Hua Lin participated alongside alumni Li Ruoying, Wang Rong, Wu Xianglin, and Zhang Yi. Teacher Zhang Jian ‌led the Beijing team to a third-place finish in the men’s group‌ B basketball competition. ‌

wu Fei, deputy director of the Sports Teaching and Research Department, served as​ a member of the arbitration committee for the⁤ table tennis event, ⁤overseeing event readiness and competition. Wu Fei was also pictured with Chinese table Tennis Association Vice Chairman Qin Zhijian and deputy ‍Chief Referee Xiao Dandan.
