Samsung to Revive Galaxy A77 Line After Four-Year Hiatus

Samsung is poised to bring back the Galaxy A77, a model line last seen with the 2022 release of the Galaxy A73. The potential return of this larger-screened ‘A’ series device signals a broadening of Samsung’s mid-range portfolio, which currently focuses on the A0x,A1x,A2x,A3x,and A5x series. While the A7x line was previously discontinued, new benchmark data suggests a revival is underway.

The Galaxy A series historically offered a wider range of options, including the A4x and A7x models. The A77’s re-emergence was first reported by whistleblower Abhishek Yadav on X (formerly Twitter), citing Geekbench benchmark results. The listing reveals a device codenamed SM-A776B powered by a currently unidentified processor featuring graphics acceleration comparable to the Exynos 2400 and 2400e chips.

This new processor boasts a 10-core configuration: three cores clocked at 2.78 GHz, three at 2.30 GHz,and four at 1.82 GHz. Benchmark tests also indicate the phone will include 8GB of RAM and run Android 16.

Currently, details surrounding the Galaxy A77 remain scarce. However, industry observers anticipate a potential launch alongside the Galaxy A57, possibly as early as March 2026.
