Rico Nasty has returned‍ with “PEPPER,” a high-energy ‍single ​produced by Kenneth Blume (formerly⁤ Kenny Beats)​ that marks a return to the artist’s signature⁣ blend of rap​ and rock. The track dropped Friday,November 21,and serves as the first⁢ preview of an upcoming deluxe edition of her May album,LETHAL.

The release arrives as a resurgence of rap-rock continues to gain ‌momentum⁣ in the music landscape, with Nasty positioned as a leading figure in the crossover. ​”PEPPER” -⁤ named​ after both the Porsche Cayenne and the⁢ spice ‍- showcases Nasty’s assertive lyricism,⁤ opening with⁤ lines like, “Cop me a Porschianna, hop out like ​a hoochie⁢ mama.”‍ the single​ follows a recently completed North American tour in support ‌of LETHAL, which ‍concluded ⁢November 4 at The fonda Theater in Los Angeles.

Nasty announced the deluxe edition⁣ via​ Instagram ‍on⁢ November 5, ​prompting fans to respond with pepper emojis if they were “ready for some new s**t.” LETHAL was her first full-length release under Fueled By ⁤Ramen, ⁣the label⁢ also home to Fall Out ⁣Boy and Twenty ‍One Pilots. In a Rolling ‍Stone interview, Nasty described the 15-track album as her ‌most “liberating” work to date, explaining that a more focused, song-by-song approach allowed her to maintain a better balance ⁣between creative work and personal ‍life.
