Journalist Albert Cruz Retires After 34 Years at NotiCentro

Veteran Puerto Rican Journalist⁤ albert Cruz Retires After Decades-Long Career

San Juan, Puerto Rico – Albert Cruz, a prominent‌ figure in Puerto Rican journalism, has announced his retirement after more ⁣than 30 years with ‘NotiCentro‘​ and additional⁤ years at the now-defunct San ⁤Juan Star. The‍ announcement was made by colleague and “There is the truth” program host, Valentino.

Cruz is‌ recognized for⁣ his ‍contributions to‌ sports journalism and was recently inducted into the Guaynabo Sports Hall⁢ of Fame,receiving the Rafael Bracero award for his outstanding work.

Valentino credited Cruz with helping launch his own career⁢ at Wapa ⁢Televisión, stating Cruz encouraged him​ to apply for a position there. The two also collaborated on NotiUno 630⁢ AM, where Cruz provided sports updates.

Valentino described Cruz ⁢as “a good professional​ and best‌ friend,” and noted Cruz’s grandson is ⁢a promising athlete currently participating with the Puerto Rico‌ Under-17 national⁢ team.
