Dacia‘s New C-Neo Fastback Spotted in Testing, Launching 2026
MIOVENI, Romania – Prototype images of Dacia’s forthcoming C-Neo model have surfaced online, revealing a fastback design positioned between the Sandero and Duster in the Romanian brand’s lineup. The vehicle, anticipated for a 2026 release, has sparked diverse reactions, ranging from criticism of its unconventional appearance to praise for its modern styling-particularly for a Dacia.
The C-Neo aims to fill a gap in Dacia’s portfolio, offering a new body style and potentially attracting customers seeking a vehicle that blends SUV-like ground clearance with a more streamlined profile. Production is slated for Dacia’s Mioveni plant. The model’s arrival is significant as Dacia continues to expand its range and appeal to a broader customer base with increasingly sophisticated designs and technology.
Measuring approximately 4.40 meters in length, the C-Neo will be shorter than the Duster but boast greater ground clearance than the Sandero or Jogger. Spy shots indicate a smaller, steeply angled rear window and styling cues reminiscent of Audi and Hyundai vehicles.
dacia is expected to offer a hybrid powertrain with the C-Neo, potentially utilizing the 1.2 mild-hybrid engine family-with and without LPG compatibility-or the larger 1.8-liter Hybrid 155 engine currently featured in the Bigster. A 1.2 4×4 automatic with a 48-volt electric motor, planned for the Bigster and Duster, is also a possibility.
