Le Creuset and Pantone Ignite Collaboration with Limited-Edition Cast Iron Casserole Dishes
PARIS – Le Creuset and the Pantone Color Institute have announced a collaboration resulting in two limited-edition cast iron casserole dishes: Flame and Flamme Dorée. the launch celebrates the 100th anniversary of the iconic Flame color, originally created by Le Creuset in 1925, and officially registers the shade within the Pantone color libary.
The partnership spotlights Flame’s enduring legacy as a signature color in domestic cooking and its current role as a vibrant accent in modern interiors. According to Christopher Scinto, marketing director of Le Creuset, the casserole dish has evolved into “a decorative cushion for a kitchen…a punctuation mark.”
The collection features the classic Flame casserole dish, echoing its original glowing orange gradient, alongside the new Flamme Dorée edition, offering a sparkling finish as a tribute to the color’s origins. Both are available on Le Creuset’s flagship pieces, including the Signature cast iron casserole.
“It’s more than a color, it’s really an emotional marker for so many people,” stated Laurie Pressman, vice president of the Pantone Color Institute. “For me, it’s joy in a kitchen.” The collaboration aims to highlight color’s ability to convey emotion and shape experiences, further solidifying the status of Le Creuset’s already iconic cookware.
