ESPN Analyst Todd McShay Strongly Backs Notre Dame‘s Jeremiyah Love for heisman Trophy
NEW YORK, NY – November 26, 2023 – ESPN college football analyst Todd McShay has emphatically endorsed Notre Dame running back jeremiyah Love as a Heisman Trophy finalist, stating, ”If he doesn’t get to New York, what teh hell are we doing?” McShay, a Heisman voter, pledged to cast his ballot in favor of Love.
The Heisman Trophy, awarded annually to the most outstanding player in college football, currently has several contenders, including quarterbacks Fernando Mendoza of Indiana, Julian Sayin of Ohio State, and Ty Simpson of Alabama. However, McShay believes Love’s performance warrants serious consideration.
Love has been instrumental in Notre Dame’s successful 8-2 season. He has carried the ball 177 times for 1,135 yards and 14 touchdowns, averaging 6.4 yards per carry. He has also contributed as a receiver, wiht 26 catches for 274 yards and three touchdowns.
Notre Dame faces Syracuse today and will conclude their regular season against Stanford. The 2023 Heisman Trophy winner will be announced on December 13th.
The Fighting Irish’s potential College Football Playoff run is largely attributed to Love’s contributions, leading many to believe his absence would significantly impact the team’s success.
