A shooting Friday evening on Columbus‘s east side resulted in one fatality, according to the Columbus Division of Police. The incident occurred in the 30 block of North Hampton Road shortly before 7:00 p.m.on November 22, 2024.
Officers responding to reports of a shooting discovered a victim with a gunshot wound. Emergency Medical Services transported the individual to grant Medical center in critical condition, where they were pronounced dead at 7:56 p.m. This death marks the latest in a series of gun violence incidents impacting the city, raising ongoing concerns about public safety and prompting continued calls for preventative measures.
