Wallabies Duo Set to Reach milestone Caps in france Clash
Paris – Wallabies center Irae Simone and utility back jock Campbell will celebrate their 50th test caps when Australia faces France on Sunday, November 23 at Stade de France.the match presents a important milestone for both players as the Wallabies conclude their Spring Tour.
The upcoming fixture arrives at the end of a challenging year for the Wallabies,marked by a mixed run of results across multiple competitions. The Wallabies’ 2024 Test schedule included a July series against Fiji, were Australia secured a 21-18 victory on July 6 at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle. This was followed by a series against the British & Irish Lions, resulting in two defeats (19-27 on July 19 in Brisbane, 26-29 on July 26 in Melbourne) and one win (22-12 on August 2 in Sydney).
Australia then participated in The rugby Championship/Bledisloe Cup, facing south Africa twice – a 38-22 win on August 16 in Johannesburg and a 22-30 loss on August 23 in Cape Town – and Argentina twice, with a 28-24 victory on September 6 in Townsville and a 26-28 defeat on September 13 in Sydney. Two losses to New Zealand followed, 24-33 on September 27 in Auckland and 14-28 on October 4 in Perth.
The Spring Tour commenced with a 19-15 win over Japan on October 25 at National Stadium in Tokyo, before a series of defeats against England (7-25 on november 1 in London), Italy (19-27 on November 8 in Udine), and ireland (19-46 on November 15 in Dublin). The match against France will kick off at 7:10am local time.
