Thailand – Zashely Alicea Rivera captivated audiences Wednesday in Thailand during the customary costume competition of the preliminary round of Miss Universe 2025. Alicea Rivera showcased a stunning design honoring the colibrí – the hummingbird – of Puerto Rico, celebrated for its beauty and speed.
Alicea Rivera’s national dress, created by designer Joshuan Aponte, uniquely blends the imagery of the bird with the grace of ballet, a discipline she has practiced for over 16 years. The Miss Universe Puerto Rico institution shared images of a confident and radiant Alicea Rivera on the catwalk.
The Miss Universe 2025 finale will be held on Friday, November 21, where Alicea Rivera will compete for Puerto Rico’s sixth universal crown. The competition will be broadcast on Wapa TV at 9:00 pm this Thursday.
