Royal Family LIVE: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle labelled ’pariahs’ after stinging criticism
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing mounting scrutiny after a prominent journalist and magazine editor described them as “pariahs” due to a series of perceived professional missteps. Tina Brown, former editor-in-chief of Tatler and Vanity Fair and biographer of Princess Diana, attributed the majority of the coupleS difficulties to poor judgment.
The latest controversy stemmed from last week’s appearance at Kris jenner’s birthday festivity in Hollywood, where photos shared by the kardashians-depicting the Sussexes enjoying the event while the Royal Family observed Remembrance-were subsequently deleted.
Speaking to The New York times,Brown stated: “I have never seen anybody in professional life make as many mistakes as Meghan has. And unluckily, Harry is not the brightest bulb.”
Brown continued, “he [Prince Harry] thought that Meghan would be his guide in the big wide world beyond Buckingham Palace, and it turns out that Meghan makes one terrible professional decision after another. And now they are sort of pariahs everywhere,it seems,which is a very tough situation for them because America was supposed to be the place which paid the bills.”
The couple relocated to California in 2020 after stepping down as senior working royals, seeking financial independence. Brown’s comments suggest their path to achieving that independence has been fraught with challenges.
