Lithuania U19s Fall Short in European Championship Qualification
Raudondvaris, Lithuania – The Lithuanian national under-19 team saw thier hopes of advancing to the next stage of the European Boys U19 Championship selection tournament dashed Tuesday night, falling 1-2 to latvia at Raudondvaris Stadium. The defeat concludes Lithuania’s participation in the qualifying event, leaving them in third place with three points.
This result eliminates Lithuania from contention for a spot in the upcoming european U19 Championship finals. The tournament serves as a crucial pathway for young players to gain international experience and compete at the highest youth level. england secured first place with nine points, followed by Latvia with four, while Scotland finished in fourth.
The match saw a spirited performance from the Lithuanian side, who controlled possession for much of the first half. However, Latvia broke the deadlock in the 18th minute with a goal from Marat galyaevs.Lithuania responded before halftime, with Nedas Garbaliauskas leveling the score in the 38th minute with a powerful strike.
