BEAVERTON, OR – Nike today unveiled the Alphafly 3, the latest iteration of its record-breaking running shoe, boasting its lightest weight to date and a wider carbon fiber plate designed for enhanced stability and propulsion.The shoe is available now via Nike MX and select retailers.
The Alphafly 3 arrives as marathon season heats up, offering both elite athletes and dedicated runners a potential edge in performance.Building on the success of previous Alphafly models-shoes worn during numerous world records and podium finishes-the Alphafly 3 aims to broaden its appeal with improvements focused on fit, responsiveness, and accessibility. The updates address feedback from runners seeking a more stable and pleasant experience at race pace.
Key features of the Alphafly 3 include a fully connected zoomx Foam midsole for smoother transitions, a slightly wider carbon fiber Flyplate for increased stability, and an integrated knit tongue with raised padding to relieve lace pressure. Nike states the men’s size 10 weighs approximately 218g,making it the lightest Alphafly model to date.
Further enhancements include notched laces for a secure yet soft fit and improved multi-directional containment and breathability. The shoe is available in a Multicolor/Volt/White/Black colorway (Style: IM8066-999) and is manufactured in china. The heel-to-toe drop remains at 8mm.
