Cowboys dominate Raiders in Las Vegas, 33-10
The Dallas Cowboys secured their fourth win of the season with a decisive 33-10 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football, fueled by a dominant performance from quarterback Dak Prescott.The Raiders fell to 2-8 with the loss.
Prescott threw for four touchdowns, marking his 13th career game with at least four passing scores – a new franchise record. He also surpassed Tony Romo to become the Cowboys’ all-time leader in games with at least three passing touchdowns, with 41.
The Cowboys’ offense found its rhythm in the second quarter,beginning with an 18-yard touchdown connection between Prescott and receiver CeeDee Lamb. Prescott later found Jake Ferguson for a 5-yard score, and finished the scoring with a 37-yard pass to receiver George Pickens.
Pickens, along with Lamb, was briefly benched during the Cowboys’ first offensive drive for disciplinary reasons. He went on to have a strong performance, matching his career high with nine receptions for 144 yards – his third-highest receiving total in a single game.
Dallas’ defense proved formidable against the Raiders’ rushing attack, and the addition of Quinnen Williams to the defensive line appears to be a significant boost. the Raiders largely abandoned the run game, with quarterback Geno Smith attempting 28 passes in the first half alone despite struggles with pass protection.
The Raiders struggled to capitalize on opportunities, settling for a field goal after a Prescott fumble left them in scoring position. As the Cowboys’ offense gained momentum, the Raiders were unable to keep pace.
The Cowboys focused their blocking schemes on containing Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby, utilizing chips and creative formations to neutralize his impact. A successful example was Pickens’ touchdown, where Jake Ferguson blocked Crosby on the edge while a left guard assisted on the opposite side.
Prior to the game, the Cowboys honored the late defensive end Marshawn Kneeland, who passed away on November 6th at age 24. players and staff wore shirts with Kneeland’s photo, and his No. 94 jersey was displayed in the locker room.
