Sand Springs Police Identify Victims in Apparent Murder-Suicide
SAND SPRINGS, Okla. – Sand Springs police are investigating a fatal shooting that left two people and two pets dead Sunday, Nov. 16.Authorities identified the deceased as Cynthia Toliver, 72, and Brad Toliver, 74.
Officers responded to the residence after receiving a call from a family member. upon arrival, they discovered the bodies of both Tolivers, each with a single apparent gunshot wound. Investigators also found two deceased family pets at the scene.
According to police, evidence suggests Brad Toliver shot the animals and his wife before taking his own life. Detectives have stated there is no indication of any ongoing threat to the public, characterizing the incident as an isolated tragedy.
Neighbors described the couple as friendly and regular dog walkers in the neighborhood. The examination remains ongoing.
