Gaithersburg, MD – November 17, 2025 - Professionals and thought leaders in cybersecurity are invited too submit proposals for the 2026 National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) National Initiative on cybersecurity Education (NICE) Conference & Expo, opening a critical forum for shaping the future of the field as cyber threats rapidly evolve.
The annual NICE Conference & Expo serves as a central hub for advancing cybersecurity education, workforce development, and collaboration across government, academia, and industry. With a submission deadline of January 19, 2026, the conference seeks innovative presentations and workshops aligned with current cybersecurity discussions and this year’s conference theme. The event, scheduled for May 19-21, 2026, provides a platform to share best practices, address emerging challenges, and help close critical workforce gaps in a sector facing a persistent skills shortage.
The 2026 Planning Committee is currently soliciting proposals across a range of topics of interest, detailed on the conference website. Interested parties can learn more and submit their proposals at https://niceconference.org/.
Additionally, a recording of the recent Regional International Cybersecurity Education and Training (RICET) event, held October 23, 2025, in Montevideo, Uruguay, is now available at https://niceconference.org/ricet/. RICE is a collaborative initiative between Florida International University, NICE, and the Organization of American States, focused on strengthening cybersecurity capacity across the Americas.
The NICE Conference & Expo is supported by NIST, a programme of the U.S. Department of Commerce, under financial assistance award #70NANB23H004.
