BUDAPEST, Hungary – A new ranking reveals the airlines passengers love to hate, with American Airlines topping the list based on dissatisfaction. The survey, detailed by Startlap.hu, analyzed passenger ratings, incident reports, and complaint volumes to identify the carriers with the most unhappy customers.
American Airlines received a passenger rating of 2.9/10 and a dissatisfaction index of 56,alongside 11 major incidents. Frontier Airlines followed closely in second place with a 2.0 rating and tens of millions of dissatisfied passengers annually, coupled with five major operational failures. United Airlines landed in third (3.3 rating) due to a high volume of customer service complaints.
Rounding out the top ten are: Air France (fourth, 11 major incidents, baggage issues), Ryanair (fifth, 2.8 rating, criticized service model), Air Asia (sixth, barely exceeding 2.8 satisfaction), Aeromexico (seventh, 3.0 rating, six major incidents), Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) (eighth, complaints despite reputation for precision), Wizz Air (ninth, approximately 3.0 rating, frequent delays and customer service issues), and British Airways (tenth, lost luggage and over ten operational errors).
