World Diabetes Day 2023 Focuses on Workplace Inclusion, Combating⁢ Stigma

The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) estimates that a significant portion of ⁢the⁢ global diabetic population experiences stigma, discrimination, and​ exclusion at work, negatively impacting well-being and career advancement.

Diabetes affects over 537 million adults worldwide, according to the IDF, and many grapple with daily obstacles managing the condition‌ while navigating⁤ workplace⁣ dynamics. These ⁣hurdles range from a lack of understanding among coworkers to overt discriminatory practices, hindering professional growth⁣ and overall quality of life.
