Putin adn Tokayev Pledge Deeper Ties During Moscow Meeting

MOSCOW – November 11‌ (KUNA) -‌ Russian president Vladimir putin and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev affirmed the⁤ strength⁣ of their countries’‍ relationship​ and expressed a commitment to expanded cooperation during⁤ an informal meeting‌ in Moscow⁤ on Tuesday. The Kremlin announced the ⁢discussion, signaling continued talks are planned for ‍Wednesday ‌with the⁤ signing of multiple bilateral agreements anticipated.

Putin conveyed his⁣ satisfaction⁤ with the current state of Russia-Kazakhstan relations, stating, “Tomorrow we will review ⁣with our colleagues the entire agenda of our bilateral relations and we will look to the‍ future. I believe that we will ⁢conclude the current year very well and will ‍make plans for the ‍near, medium and long-term periods.” He also ​thanked Tokayev for ⁣his visit and acknowledged Kazakhstan’s efforts to bolster⁢ ties between the two‍ nations.

Tokayev reciprocated the ⁤sentiment, describing Putin as a “great comrade” and emphasizing‌ the positive‌ trajectory ⁣of relations between Moscow and Astana. ⁢He noted the absence of‌ notable issues,with any arising concerns addressed through direct dialog between leadership. ​”There are no serious problems⁤ in relations between Moscow and Astana, and if they arise, they are resolved through the ‌efforts of heads of state and ⁤of course⁢ governments,” Tokayev said.

Tokayev’s two-day⁢ official visit to Russia⁣ includes participation in the plenary session ‍of the 21st Regional Cooperation Forum between Russia and Kazakhstan, where a series of ⁤agreements ⁢designed to enhance bilateral⁢ cooperation are expected to be formalized.
