Tragedy Strikes ATP Finals as Two Spectators Die
Turin, Italy – November 10, 2025 – Teh ATP Finals in Turin were marred by tragedy Monday as two spectators died after collapsing during the tournament. The incidents cast a somber shadow over the competition featuring the world’s top eight men’s tennis players.
According to reports from Gazzetta dello Sport and other outlets, the first medical emergency occurred in the fan area outside the arena, involving a 70-year-old man.Later, during the match between Taylor Fritz and Lorenzo Musetti, a 78-year-old spectator collapsed in the stands.
Despite swift responses from medical personnel, both men were unable to be revived. As of late Monday, the ATP had not released an official statement regarding the deaths. The ATP Finals is an annual event that crowns the year-end champion of men’s professional tennis, bringing together the elite players for a week-long competition.
