The incident occurred as a gray Honda Accord traveling westbound initiated a chain-reaction collision, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan police Department.

Despite extensive life-saving efforts, the driver of the Chevrolet was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The drivers of the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry sustained only minor injuries.
