CGEM Accredits Firms to Evaluate Companies for New “Responsible SME Label

Casablanca, Morocco – The General Confederation of Moroccan‌ Enterprises (CGEM) today ​announced the accreditation ​of five firms to assess companies seeking the new Responsible SME Label,⁣ a program designed to promote and ⁣structure Corporate Social Duty (CSR) practices among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Morocco. The accredited firms are ⁢Certi trust,Bureau Veritas,Targetup Consulting,KPMG,and SGS Maroc.

Launched in May 2025,⁢ the Responsible ⁤SME Label ⁢aims to bolster ‌the sustainability, competitiveness, and appeal of Moroccan SMEs while​ simultaneously ⁢driving‌ economic and‍ social development within the‌ contry.The accreditation of these evaluation⁢ firms ensures ‌a obvious⁤ and reliable assessment‍ process aligned with international standards, providing⁣ a ⁢credible⁣ benchmark for companies⁤ committed ‍to responsible business practices. This initiative is particularly crucial as Moroccan⁣ SMEs represent a significant portion of the⁢ national economy and are increasingly expected to demonstrate a commitment​ to CSR principles.

The CGEM selected the firms based ​on their expertise in CSR, their understanding of both national ‍and international CSR standards, and their demonstrated independence and methodological rigor. This accreditation guarantees‍ the quality and credibility⁤ of the label,according to the CGEM.

The program is intended to support smes in adopting and structuring their CSR approaches, ⁢ultimately fostering shared value creation. The CGEM reaffirms its commitment to assisting​ Moroccan companies,particularly SMEs,in implementing responsible practices.
