Stevie Wonder, Questlove, Jennifer Hudson, Maxwell, Beck, flea, adn Leon Thomas honored Sly and the family stone wiht a vibrant medley at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s 2025 induction ceremony. The all-star tribute took place as part of the event recognizing this year’s class of inductees.
The performance celebrated the legacy of Sly Stone, whose groundbreaking fusion of funk, soul, and rock profoundly impacted generations of musicians. Wonder and Beck shared lead vocals on “Dance to the Music,” while Maxwell led the group through “Everyday People.” A jam session featuring “Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)” transitioned into a powerful rendition of “Higher” fronted by Jennifer Hudson. Notably, leon Thomas, recently nominated for Best New Artist at the 2026 Grammy Awards, also participated in the tribute.
This year’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees include OutKast, Cyndi Lauper, soundgarden, the White Stripes, Bad Company, Chubby Checker, and the late Joe Cocker. Warren Zevon and Salt-N-Pepa were recognized with the Musical Influence Award.
