D-Block & S-te-Fan Conclude Groundbreaking Ghost Stories Project with Final Performance
HAREN, NETHERLANDS – November 8, 2024 – Hardstyle duo D-Block & S-te-Fan brought an end to their critically acclaimed live act, Ghost Stories, with a final performance at the sold-out “20 Years of D-Block & S-te-Fan” event held at The Dome in Haaren, Netherlands, on Saturday. The performance, culminating in a new track titled “Felt The Ghost,” marked the conclusion of a project that redefined live hardstyle experiences since its 2019 debut.
ghost Stories, a collaboration between Diederik Bakker, Stefan den Daas, and Evelyn Baker, quickly became known for its cinematic staging, emotionally charged vocals, and distinctive narrative approach. Anthems such as “Darkest Hour,” “Angels & Demons,” “twilight Zone,” and “Promised Land” have collectively amassed over 130 million streams, establishing Ghost Stories as a leading emotional force within the hardstyle scene. the project originated from the track “Angels & Demons,” with Evelyn Baker’s vocal contributions inspiring the duo to explore a unique thematic direction. “I don’t know of any other band that does what we do. It’s really something you’ve never seen at a hardstyle event,” Baker stated.
The “20 Years of D-Block & S-te-Fan” event, organized with REBiRTH Events, celebrated two decades of the duo’s influence on hardstyle. The ten-hour daytime event traced their musical journey from early hits like “Music Made Addict” and “Harder State of Mind” to “Loopmachine,” featuring a dedicated Ghost stories live show and a D-Block & S-te-Fan back-to-back set. The Dome was transformed into an immersive audiovisual experience, utilizing lasers, pyrotechnics, and large-scale visuals to honor the duo’s legacy of sound, passion, and innovation.
