Youngest Billionaire ‘Peach‘ Pachara Sees Golden Opportunity for SMEs Amid economic headwinds
BANGKOK – Pachara “Peach” Chirathivat, the young entrepreneur behind the success of Potato Corner and UNO Coffee, believes current economic challenges present an unprecedented growth opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises (smes) in Thailand. the founder of Rocks Group, recently recognized as Thailand’s youngest billionaire, emphasized agility and value creation as key differentiators for SMEs navigating a challenging economic climate.
“Many people may think that now the economy is bad, it’s difficult too make a living. But I personally believe that this is the period when SMEs will grow fastest,” Peach stated in a recent interview. “Large organizations have difficulty operating because of high costs. The smaller the body, the more agile. And you must try to create as much value as possible.”
Peach’s approach to building brand longevity differs from typical personal branding strategies. He prioritizes systems that allow a business to thrive independently of its founder. “If you start your own brand from the beginning, you may not be able to make a decision. There are a lot of choices,” he explained, referencing the extensive overhaul of a franchise model - “almost fully removing the body” – undertaken with one existing framework as a starting point. He stressed the importance of establishing guidelines that ensure a brand’s survival even in the absence of its originator, allowing for seamless transitions and continued operation.
Rocks Group is also integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance efficiency and reduce costs, viewing AI as a collaborative team member. “Train AI to have the same way of thinking as the company. Helps reduce some costs. It helps a lot with thinking about marketing campaigns. Make decisions faster Waste less time Reduce the risk by approximately one degree,” Peach saeid.
Despite his success, Peach maintains a perspective that positions his businesses as SMEs, actively encouraging others to persevere. “I know that many people are tired and discouraged, but I want to encourage you. Because it’s our time. It’s time to fight.”
