Pep Guardiola makes honest Arsenal title admission and explains ‘high opinion about Liverpool’

Pep Guardiola ​acknowledged Arsenal‘s current position as Premier League title​ contenders ‌while ⁤reaffirming his⁣ respect for Liverpool, citing their consistent‌ quality despite recent form. The Manchester⁤ City manager spoke ahead ​of their upcoming match against Liverpool, offering an honest assessment of‌ the title race and the challenges posed ⁢by both teams.

Guardiola stated ⁣that Arsenal are‍ “right⁢ now the team ⁤to beat,” ‍recognizing their strong start to the season. However, he also emphasized that the season is ⁢long and that Liverpool remain a significant threat.​ “I ‌have a high opinion about ‌Liverpool,” Guardiola said, ⁤referencing their historical success and current potential. “Always I’ve had a ⁣high​ opinion about Liverpool.”

City experienced a similar dip in form last season, going 13⁤ games ⁢in the‌ autumn ​and winter wiht onyl ​one win ⁤and nine losses.Guardiola noted, “There is not one ‌manager ‌or club‍ that ⁤doesn’t live ⁢these situations…we had November​ to January, February, really,⁣ really, really bad. Does ‍that ‌define the‍ team or⁤ the culture of the ‍club? Come on. ⁤It happened.”

Guardiola also indicated that midfielder Rodri is unlikely to feature against Liverpool after missing⁤ the Champions League win over Borussia ⁤Dortmund due to⁤ another injury setback.
