iOS 26.2 Brings Tables to Freeform, enhanced Privacy & Accessibility features to iPhone
Apple has released iOS 26.2 to developers and public beta testers, introducing a trio of new features focused on productivity, security, and accessibility. The update includes long-awaited table support within the Freeform app, a new ”Excluded Websites” menu for the Passwords app, and an Accessibility setting to flash the screen for alerts. These additions aim to refine the iPhone experience for a broad range of users, from creative professionals to those prioritizing online security and accessibility.
Currently in beta testing, iOS 26.2 builds upon Apple’s ongoing commitment to iterative improvements to its mobile operating system. The changes address user requests for enhanced association within Freeform, greater control over password security, and more inclusive alert options. A public release is anticipated in mid-December, with potential for further refinements based on beta feedback.
The freeform app gains a notable upgrade with the addition of tables, allowing users to structure and organize content within the digital canvas. Additionally, the Passwords app now features an ”Excluded Websites” menu, providing users with the ability to specify sites where the password manager shoudl not offer to fill credentials.a new Accessibility setting, “Flash to Alerts,” causes the iPhone screen to flash when a notification arrives, offering an alternative alert method for users who may not hear or see traditional notifications.
iOS 26.2 is available for testing by registered developers and participants in the Apple Public Beta program. The update is expected to roll out to all iPhone users sometime in mid-December, pending the completion of beta testing and any necessary adjustments.
