Ukraine Faces Armored Vehicle Losses, Analyst urges Tactical Shift

Defense analyst Weichert warns that the conditions are unfavorable for extensive armored maneuvers. “Large-scale armored offensive operations is limited. Ukraine may not be able to stop the renewed advance of these new Russian forces on the front line,” he stated. The analyst’s assessment highlights the vulnerability of Ukrainian tanks against a potential Russian armored push.
Weichert advocates for a shift away from tank-led attacks, recommending increased reliance on mechanized infantry supported by robust anti-tank and air defense systems. “Ukraine will be forced to rely more on its anti-tank weapons and drones to stop a potential Russian offensive with main battle tanks. Armor will not be able to stand up to armor,” Weichert concluded, emphasizing the necessity of defensive measures in anticipation of future Russian tank deployments.
