Battlefield 6 Assignments: Easier Challenges After Major Update

by Rachel Kim – Technology Editor

Battlefield 2042 Challenges‍ Substantially Reduced in⁤ New⁤ Update

Battlefield 2042 players can breathe a collective sigh of relief as a⁣ major ‍update⁤ has dramatically ‍reduced the requirements for ⁤completing challenges and assignments, addressing a long-standing point of frustration for the community. The sweeping changes, which are now live in-game, represent “a ⁤total of 90+ adjustments” across various aspects of the game,‌ according to developers.

The update tackles the notoriously grindy nature of Battlefield 2042’s progression system, which has been a frequent criticism since the game’s launch. Players had ⁣previously expressed difficulty completing challenges ⁤due to excessively high thresholds for damage, kills, and othre objectives. this is the first in‍ a series of planned updates aimed at improving the challenge and assignment system, with developers stating, “the scale ⁤of our plans…are large and will take place over multiple server-side and client-side updates.”

Crucially, progress made towards⁤ challenges before the update will automatically apply to⁤ the ‌new, reduced criteria, meaning some players ⁤may find assignments they were previously struggling with are now completed.

Here’s a breakdown of some of ‍the most important reductions:

* ⁣ Assault‌ rifle damage for rapid Fire 1: Reduced from ⁣10,000 to 3,000
* Carbine ADS kills & damage for Danger Close 1: ⁢Reduced‍ from 250 kills and 10,000 ⁢damage to ⁢30 kills and 1,000 damage
* ⁢ Enemy suppressions &⁤ hipfire damage for Bullet Storm 1: Reduced from 300 suppressions and 10,000 damage to 10 suppressions and 3,000 damage
* Healing for Support 1: reduced from 5,000 to 500
* Revives for Support 2: Reduced from 200 to 6
* Squadmate‍ deploys on spawn beacons for Assault 2: Reduced from⁢ 50 to 5

Despite⁢ the positive changes, some players are still experiencing issues with challenges failing to track⁣ correctly,‌ a problem developers have yet to address.
