Western Force Sign Argentinian International Scrum-half Agustín Moyano
PERTH, AUSTRALIA – The Western Force have bolstered their 2026 Super Rugby Pacific squad with the signing of promising Argentinian scrum-half agustín Moyano, the club announced today. The 20-year-old joins the Force promptly following international duty with Los Pumas, and is expected too link up with the team later in pre-season.
Moyano’s acquisition represents a significant coup for the Force as they build towards the 2026 season. The emerging talent debuted for Argentina against England in June 2025, earning five caps to date, and brings youthful energy and international experience to the Western Australian franchise. This signing underscores the Force’s commitment to attracting high-potential players and further strengthens their half-back options.
“I’m very excited to join the club. It’s a new experience for me and I’ll bring a lot of energy. I can’t wait to start training with the team,” Moyano stated.He highlighted Super Rugby as a key motivation for the move, adding, “One of the main reasons to join is to play Super Rugby, which is a really good tournament. Moyano is familiar with the Super Rugby landscape, having closely followed the Western Force during the Jaguares‘ previous participation. ”I watched the force a lot when Jaguares played in Super Rugby. It’s a team that used to have a lot of Argentina boys so I’m excited to join,” he explained.
Currently with the Los Pumas squad for Tests against Wales,Scotland,and England in the United Kingdom,Moyano will arrive in Perth to begin pre-season training at a date to be confirmed. The full western Force 2026 Super Rugby Pacific squad will be revealed on Thursday, November 6th.
