San josé State University (SJSU), the oldest public institution of higher education on the West Coast and⁢ the ⁣only public four-year university in Silicon Valley, is seeking⁤ a dynamic and entrepreneurial leader too ⁣serve as its⁣ vice⁤ Provost for Academic Innovation. ⁤This role reports directly to the Provost and leads a central office dedicated to supporting and partnering with SJSU’s colleges and academic units.

The Chance:

The Vice Provost will be instrumental in expanding SJSU’s reach and impact through growth in⁣ professional, continuing, and online programs. Key responsibilities include:

* Expanding Access: Increasing access to education and meeting evolving learner‍ and workforce needs.
* global Engagement: Deepening⁤ global⁣ partnerships to ‍drive student enrollment and enhance SJSU’s international visibility.
* Program advancement: Propelling specialized programs that advance the university’s⁣ mission and serve⁣ the san José and Silicon Valley communities.
* Innovation Hub: Establishing the Office of Academic Innovation as a central hub for cultivating and advancing creative ideas and strategic initiatives, building ⁣upon existing platforms like SJSU Online.

Qualifications:

* Master’s degree or ‍equivalent.
* five years​ of ⁤administrative leadership experiance.
* Proven experience developing and ‍delivering professional and continuing education ​programs.
* Six to ten years of‌ experience overseeing⁢ credit and non-credit programs at scale is preferred.
* Highly collaborative leadership style with the ability to build‌ teams across campus.

Salary: $235,000 – $260,000
