GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) – residents across Western Colorado and Eastern Utah are enjoying an extended stretch of unusually mild weather, a pattern forecast to persist through the week.
temperatures remain 3-7 degrees above normal despite a slight cooling trend expected to begin Thursday. Wednesday will mirror Tuesday’s warmth, with highs reaching near 69 degrees in Grand Junction, 67 in Montrose, 72 in Delta, 68 in Cortez, and 70 in Moab.
The pleasant conditions are due to a quiet weather pattern, though increased cloud cover is anticipated late Wednesday as remnants of unsettled weather from the pacific Northwest drift southward.this will initiate a gradual cooling, but overall tranquility is expected to continue through the weekend and into the beginning of next week.
Tonight will be clear, with temperatures dropping from the mid-to-upper 50s at 6 PM to the upper 40s and lower 50s by 8 PM, and finally to the mid-to-upper 40s by 10 PM. Overnight lows are forecast to be around 39 degrees in Grand Junction, 35 in Montrose, 36 in Delta, 31 in Cortez, and 39 in Moab. Wednesday will start sunny before clouds increase in the afternoon.
