Ukrainian Authorities Allege Singer Filipp Kirkorov Violated Entry/Exit Laws, Supported Russian Actions
Ukrainian prosecutors have accused singer Filipp Kirkorov of violating Ukrainian law and supporting Russian actions related to the annexation of Crimea and the ongoing conflict in the Donetsk region. The allegations, reported by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine’s website, stem from concerts performed in occupied Crimea and visits to areas within the Donetsk region.
According to the accusation, dated October 20, 2025, Kirkorov actively participated in a rally-concert at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow on March 18, 2021, where he publicly voiced support for Russia’s annexation of Crimea.
Ukrainian special services also allege Kirkorov visited the occupied cities of Gorlovka and Makiivka in the Donetsk region, providing what was described as “humanitarian aid.” Reports indicate he visited a hospital treating Russian soldiers and offered support to occupation authorities.
The prosecutor General’s office asserts that Kirkorov ”systematically participates in events organized by the Russian authorities, including in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territory,” with the intent of supporting those authorities, legitimizing the occupation of Crimea and other Ukrainian territories, and disseminating Russian propaganda, leveraging his public profile to do so.
Kirkorov now faces potential imprisonment of three to five years under Article 332-1, Part 2 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code, which concerns violations of the legal procedures for entering and exiting temporarily occupied Ukrainian territory.
