Porzingis Efficient in Hawks’ Victory Over Magic
ATLANTA, GA – November 5, 2025 – Kristaps Porzingis showcased his scoring prowess, converting 11 of 13 field goal attempts, as the Atlanta Hawks defeated the Orlando Magic 127-112, snapping a four-game losing streak and returning to .500 on the season. Despite playing under 27 minutes, Porzingis contributed 15 points, along with two rebounds, three assists, three steals, and a team-high +18 plus/minus.
The win is crucial for the Hawks (4-4), who entered the game with an identical record to Orlando (3-4) and facing mounting pressure to establish consistency early in the season. Atlanta built a commanding lead in the first half, fueled by 16 first-half points from zachary Rizasher, and never relinquished control, despite a late push from the Magic. All five Hawks starters scored at least 15 points, highlighting a balanced offensive attack.
Atlanta surged ahead in the first half without the presence of Trey Young,amassing a 17-point advantage at halftime (64-47). The Hawks continued their dominance in the third quarter, extending their lead to 21 points (98-77) before the final period. While Orlando attempted a comeback in the fourth, Atlanta held firm to secure the victory.
Rizasher led all Hawks scorers with 21 points,while Jalen Johnson recorded a strong all-around performance with 17 points,six rebounds,and five assists.Dyson Daniels added 18 points, six assists, and two steals, and Nickel Alexander-Walker chipped in with 20 points.
Dyson Daniels also extended his streak of consecutive games with at least one steal to 60, the second-longest in Hawks franchise history and ninth-longest in NBA history. He is now just one game away from tying Doc Rivers’ club record of 61.
For Orlando, Paulo Bankero led the way with 22 points, 11 rebounds, and eight assists, while Franz Wagner contributed 18 points and six rebounds. Tristan da Silva provided a spark off the bench with 20 points.
