Samaritan Health System to Host Series of Town Halls on MultiCare Affiliation
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Samaritan Health System will host a series of town hall meetings throughout November and December to inform community members about its affiliation with MultiCare Health System. The events will provide an prospect to learn about the partnership and its potential impact on healthcare services in the region.
While the affiliation is not immediately changing patient care, Samaritan officials emphasize it represents a notable step toward a stronger, healthier future. The partnership aims to allow Samaritan to move “from surviving to thriving and continue serving our communities for generations to come.”
Town halls will be held at the following locations and times:
* Lebanon: Wednesday, Nov. 12, 6 to 7 p.m. at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital, conference rooms A/B/C/D (525 N Santiam Hwy). Attendees should use the hospital’s back entrance.
* Lincoln City: Monday, Nov. 17, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at lincoln city Community Center Multipurpose Room (2150 NE Oar Place).
* Corvallis: Tuesday, Nov. 18, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, conference rooms A/B (3600 SW Samaritan Drive). Attendees should use the hospital’s front entrance.
* Albany: Monday, Nov. 24, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Samaritan Albany General Hospital, Reimer Room (1046 6th Ave. SW). The reimer Room is in a standalone building northwest of the main hospital.
* Newport: Monday, Dec. 1, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Center for Health Education, halls A/B/C (740 SW Ninth St.).
* Virtual: Thursday, Dec. 11, noon to 1 p.m. via Microsoft Teams. A link will be provided upon registration. A recording will be available afterward.
licensed health insurance agents specializing in Medicare will be present at each in-person event to answer questions about Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans before and after the presentations.
