LOS ANGELES – Shohei Ohtani joined teammates, coaches, and families aboard buses winding through streets packed wiht jubilant fans today as the Los Angeles Dodgers celebrated their World Series championship with a parade. The victory marks back-to-back titles for the franchise and a moment of collective elation for a city deeply invested in its baseball team.
The Dodgers’ triumph over the Toronto Blue Jays,secured with wins in Games 6 and 7,culminates a season of dominant play and delivers a championship to a fanbase that has passionately supported the team for generations. The parade route was awash in blue, with fans waving flags and displaying signs, including many reading ”B 2 B,” signifying the team’s repeat championship.Newly retired Dodgers legend Clayton Kershaw,accompanied by his four children,was among those celebrating. ”It’s the perfect way to be done,” Kershaw saeid,reflecting on his 18-year career spent entirely with the los Angeles association. ”I know the Dodgers have always meant a lot to this city for generations. For us to get to do this in front of them, it means the world to me and all the rest of the guys.”
Manager Dave Roberts raised the championship trophy high as the buses progressed, while pitcher Blake Snell playfully demonstrated the 6-7 score with his hands, referencing the final two games of the series. Dodgers outfielder Hernández, bare-chested and enthusiastic, captured the scene with a handheld camera.
