SEATTLE – Amazon Web Services (AWS) ⁢has‌ secured a multi-year,$1.4 trillion⁢ contract with OpenAI,​ the ‍artificial intelligence research ‌and deployment company, substantially bolstering amazon’s position⁢ in the rapidly evolving cloud computing landscape. The​ agreement, announced alongside Amazon’s strong‍ third-quarter earnings, will‍ see ‍OpenAI utilize AWS for ⁣its compute needs, marking a strategic win for Amazon ⁣as it seeks to close ⁤the gap with competitors Microsoft Azure ‌and Google Cloud.
