Despite Autoimmune Challenges, Dominican Woman Embodies Resilience and Strength
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic – Rosanna Tremols, a remarkable woman from the Dominican Republic, is defying the odds and inspiring those around her as she navigates life with not one, but two chronic illnesses: lupus and sickle cell anemia. Lupus, an autoimmune disease where the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissues, has been a lifelong companion for Tremols, affectionately known as “Chana” by friends and family. Coupled with sickle cell anemia – a genetic blood disorder causing painful episodes – her health journey has been undeniably challenging. Yet, Tremols refuses to let these conditions define her.
