The incident involved a sedan and an SUV, resulting in meaningful injuries to occupants of both vehicles.One child was ejected from a car seat within the SUV and required immediate transport by air ambulance due to the severity of their condition. Two adults sustained moderate injuries,and another child in the SUV suffered minor injuries. Firefighters worked to extricate the driver of the sedan, who was trapped inside and subsequently transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
Responding agencies included the Harvard Fire Protection District, alongside mutual aid from the Hebron-Alden-Greenwood, Woodstock, and Richmond Fire Protection Districts. A Mercyhealth MD-1 emergency physician was also on scene to provide advanced medical care.
