Contraband, developed by avalanche Studios (known for the Just Cause series), was announced in 2021 as a co-op open-world action game set in the 1970s, centered around smuggling and featuring muscle cars. Xbox confirmed the project’s cancellation in February 2024, three months prior to the leak. the leaked images suggest the game included various playable professions and a progression system.
The screenshots provide a rare look at a project that never came to fruition, joining other recently leaked materials from shelved Xbox titles like Rare’s Everwild.
