ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – Milagros Zanatelli‌ etched her name into American International College field⁤ hockey history Saturday, scoring four goals to ⁢lead the ⁢Yellow Jackets to a ‌6-2 victory over molloy University in the Northeast 10 Conference season finale. Zanatelli’s performance marked the first time an AIC player has⁤ ever scored four goals in a single game.

AIC concluded the 2025 campaign with a ‍4-13 overall record and a 3-9 mark in NE10 play. Despite the team’s overall record, Zanatelli’s breakout day provided a memorable finish.

Zanatelli‌ opened⁣ the scoring at 8:48 of the‌ first period, converting a netfront feed from Anella Rossi for her ninth goal of the season. Rossi added⁣ a goal of her own at 14:44, hammering a shot on a penalty corner assisted by Mar Busqueta, extending AIC’s lead ‌to 2-0 after one period.

Zanatelli continued‌ her offensive surge in the second ‍quarter, capitalizing on a penalty stroke at 2:26 to record her 10th goal of ‌the season. Molloy responded with two quick goals from‌ Katie ⁢Ogurick, narrowing the AIC lead to 3-2 at halftime.

Early in the third, Zanatelli completed a hat trick – AIC’s⁣ first since September 17, 2013, when Jenna Masionis scored three against Southern Connecticut State University – ⁣converting another penalty stroke at ⁣1:35 for her 11th goal of the year.⁢

Zanatelli then made history in ⁣the fourth quarter, slamming home ⁣a rebound off a Maddie Darling shot at 0:41 to achieve⁣ her fourth goal of⁣ the game,‍ becoming the first ⁢Yellow Jacket to accomplish the feat and scoring in each quarter of play. Busqueta capped the scoring at 2:32,‍ finishing a‌ play set up by Rossi’s second assist of the game for her first‌ goal of‌ the⁤ season.

AIC goalkeeper Quinlyn Moll secured the win with 13 saves, finishing the season with an extraordinary .909 save percentage, having stopped 40 of 44 shots faced in six appearances.

Zanatelli’s 12 goals⁢ on the season represent the most for AIC since Masionis scored 18 in 2014. Ten of her goals came in NE10 action, placing her among only four‌ players in the conference to reach double-digit league goals this season.
