Falcons activate Key Defenders for Week 9 Clash Against Patriots
FOXBOROUGH,Mass. – The atlanta Falcons will have safety jessie Bates III, edge rusher Leonard Floyd, and edge rusher Jalon Walker available for Sunday’s week 9 game against the New England Patriots. All three players were listed as questionable leading into the weekend due to injury, creating uncertainty around their availability. Defensive lineman Zach Harrison (knee) remains out for the second consecutive game, as does nickel back Billy Bowman Jr. (hamstring) for a fourth straight contest.
The activation of Bates, Floyd, and Walker provides a meaningful boost to the Falcons’ defense, particularly after Bates left last week’s game against Miami with a knee injury. Walker will be active for the first time as the team’s Week 6 victory over Buffalo. Bates proactively utilized hyperbaric chamber therapy throughout the week to aid his recovery, stating, “I feel pretty good. We’ll see how things go in practice. Provided that there’s no setbacks, I think I’ll be fine.”
