Fan Bingbing Praises Malaysian Film Crew’s Warmth and Teamwork

TOKYO, JAPANInternational film star Fan Bingbing has lauded the Malaysian film ⁢crew of Mother Bhumi for fostering an exceptionally ⁢collaborative ‌and supportive⁢ surroundings, a standout experience in her extensive global career. The Chinese actress, known for‍ roles in X-Men: Days of Future Past and I am Not Madame Bovary, shared her praise during the 38th ⁢Tokyo International ​Film ⁢Festival (TIFF) where she was nominated for Best Actress for her performance in the Malaysian-produced film.

Bingbing, who portrays a rice farmer and shaman from Malaysia’s minority Siamese community in Mother Bhumi, highlighted the warmth and professionalism of the crew during filming in Kedah last year. She noted a refreshing difference from‌ other international productions, attributing her strong performance to ‍their dedication and positive energy. ⁤

“I was really inspired by their energy. Everyone was so committed and supportive, and the atmosphere was just so⁢ positive,” Bingbing told Bernama.She emphasized the crew’s dedication motivated her to deliver ‍her best work.

The actress further remarked on ⁤the rare quality of teamwork she observed. “It’s ⁣rare to find such ⁣genuine teamwork. Everyone trusted ⁢and respected one another, and⁢ that made every day on set meaningful,” she added. Mother⁢ Bhumi is gaining international attention,showcasing Malaysian ‌filmmaking talent and offering a unique cultural perspective.
