Magnolia Campobasso Dominates Dinamo Zagreb in EuroCup Victory
Magnolia Campobasso secured a decisive victory over Dinamo Zagreb, winning 76-50 in a commanding EuroCup performance. The game featured balanced scoring and a strong second-half surge led by Reshanda Gray.
The first half saw a closely contested start, with both teams trading baskets. A three-pointer from Madera marked Campobasso’s fortieth point, and a subsequent score from Livorno‘s pivot winger pushed the team to a 42-23 lead at halftime.
The third quarter saw Gray opening the scoring, followed by attempts from Dinamo Zagreb to close the gap. Miccoli responded with key offensive contributions. Zagreb shifted to a zone defense, but Gray proved impactful on both ends of the court, securing a block and earning a foul that resulted in a accomplished free throw. Following the game, Campobasso coach Mimmo Sabatelli expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance.”We gave life to a substantial match,” he stated, ”and what makes us happiest was the return of Silvia Pastrello. Campobasso will next face Braine on Wednesday, November 5th, in the Arena for the penultimate day of the grouping stage. Prior to that, they will host Schio on a Saturday evening.
In other news, the scheduling of the Schio game has prompted a change to the Serie B junior team’s match against Virtus Ariano Irpino, which will now be played on Sunday at 6pm.
the Campobasso youth team has qualified for the Next Gen women’s Under 19 tournament, joining eleven other teams, including the SSN Team Next Generation. The tournament will consist of two concentration events (November 14-16 and March 13-15) and a final phase from May 28-30, featuring quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals.
