AT&T Sales Representative – San Antonio, TX

Overall Purpose:
This position is focused on expanding our business by cultivating strong client relationships, generating both new and repeat sales, and providing AT&T products, services, and solutions that directly address our customers’ critical business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Client Engagement: Build and nurture lasting relationships with clients, proactively understanding their needs and utilizing consultative selling techniques to secure business and foster long-term loyalty. This includes delivering compelling,tailored presentations.
* Sales Performance: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to identify new opportunities and grow existing accounts, consistently meeting or exceeding established revenue targets.
* Market Awareness: Remain current on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and market developments to proactively identify sales opportunities and maintain a competitive advantage.
* Proposal Progress: Contribute to the creation and submission of comprehensive responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring alignment with client requirements and AT&T’s capabilities.
* Customer Resolution: Assist in resolving customer issues and account discrepancies, providing effective solutions related to billing, installation, and other service-related concerns.
Job Contribution:
This is a mid-level sales role requiring a strong understanding of sales principles, AT&T products and services, and industry best practices. The successful candidate will manage mid-to-large, complex sales engagements with moderate supervision, taking ownership of an assigned quota or territory.This role demands advanced data analysis skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and sound judgment. You will be expected to lead presentations and mentor more junior team members. More senior roles within this career path will involve increased sales targets, broader responsibilities, and greater complexity.
Reporting Structure: This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.
Vital Note: This position might potentially be classified as either exempt or non-exempt based on state regulations. Core sales activities include on-site customer meetings, phone/video conferencing, email communication, travel to customer locations, technical sales expertise, product suitability advising, proposal/presentation creation (including pricing and strategic planning), collaboration with AT&T partners on solution development, and customer business/industry research for new opportunities.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) preferred.
* 5+ years of proven sales experience.
