Drone Attack Targets regions Around Moscow, Russian Ministry of Defense Reports
Moscow, Russia - Russian air defenses engaged and downed 57 drones targeting multiple regions wednesday evening, including areas bordering Moscow, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The attacks triggered air defense alerts and heightened security measures across several oblasts.
The targeted regions included Bryansk and Rostov, located along the Ukrainian border, and also Tula and Kaluga, situated closer to the capital. four of the intercepted drones where reportedly shot down in the immediate vicinity of Moscow. While the Ministry of Defense confirmed the interception of 57 flying objects, it did not disclose data regarding any drones that may have evaded defenses.
Ukraine and Russia have routinely conducted long-range drone strikes against each other’s territories throughout the ongoing conflict. ukrainian attacks have largely focused on military installations and energy infrastructure within Russia.It is indeed presumed that Wednesday’s assault followed a similar strategy.
