Olszewski’s sudden passing, initially reported on February 23, 2024, leaves a void in Polish television and dance. His victory on Taniec z Gwiazdami in November 2023, partnered with dancer Janja Lesar, captivated audiences and marked a high point in his career. The cause of death, initially undisclosed, was later confirmed too be a heart attack.
The dancer and choreographer won the 16th season of Taniec z Gwiazdami after competing against Edward Miszczak and Dorota Zawadzka. Olszewski’s win was particularly poignant, as he had previously participated in the show in 2018, finishing in fourth place with partner Hanna Żudziewicz.
