OpenAI Offers Free ChatGPT Go Access in India Ahead ⁣of⁢ Bengaluru DevDay

BENGALURU – OpenAI is making its ChatGPT Go ‌subscription tier⁢ free for ⁤a limited time to users in India, starting⁤ November 4th, as the company prepares to host its first DevDay Exchange event​ in Bengaluru. The offer aims ⁢to broaden access ‍to advanced AI tools within one of its fastest-growing markets.

Launched in india in August,‍ ChatGPT​ go is​ a more affordable subscription option offering increased message ‍limits, image generation, and‍ file upload capabilities for both everyday and⁤ professional applications. OpenAI reports that the​ number of paid ChatGPT subscribers in India more than doubled within the first month of its​ release, leading to a global expansion of the plan to nearly 90 markets.

India ⁤is now OpenAI’s ⁤second-largest user base globally, with millions of developers, students, and professionals utilizing ChatGPT daily. the company describes the promotion as part​ of its ‌”India-first” commitment and support for the IndiaAI Mission.

“As launching ⁤ChatGPT ‍Go in India a few months ago,‍ the adoption and creativity we’ve seen from our users has been inspiring,” said Nick Turley, OpenAI’s Vice President⁢ and ⁤Head of ChatGPT. “Ahead⁣ of our first DevDay Exchange event in India, we’re making ChatGPT Go⁢ freely available ⁤for a year to help more people across India easily access and benefit from advanced ⁣AI.”
